About Us

Deep roots in remote sensing, built for the plantation floor.

AMS Plantation Technology is a pioneering Malaysian agritech company with deep expertise in remote sensing & GIS, satellite development, and agricultural research. Our collective experience spans national satellite programs, advanced geospatial technologies, and hands-on agricultural innovation.

We are united by a mission to help smallholder farmers harness precision agriculture technologies to improve yield, optimise fertiliser usage, and adapt efficiently to modern farming practices — through an integrated ecosystem of software, services, and products.

Our Precision Digital Agriculture System (PDAS) web platform integrates A.I. to let farmers digitally map and manage plantations, monitor crop health, analyse soil and nutrient variability, optimise fertiliser application, and generate actionable reports. Through Drone Mapping & Aerial Services, we add high-resolution mapping and crop stress detection, all integrated with the platform. Our Products & Inputs business supplies agricultural drones and sensors, and resells fertilisers, pesticides, and herbicides.

Mission

To empower farmers, especially smallholders, to adopt precision agriculture technologies that increase yield, optimise fertiliser use, and improve plantation management.

Vision

To become a leading precision farming solution provider that contributes to Malaysia's food security and sustainable agriculture development.

Nature of Business

Software development · Drone & sensor development · Mapping services · Agritech consultation · Agriculture R&D · Remote sensing & GIS.

What We Build

An integrated precision-farming ecosystem

Four connected pillars — one platform, aerial intelligence, mapping services, and the physical inputs to act on the data.

01 — PDAS Platform

Precision Digital Agriculture System

An A.I.-powered SaaS solution helping oil palm plantations — especially smallholders — monitor plantation health, optimise inputs, and improve yields by integrating drone, satellite, and sensor data.

  • Plantation health monitoring — crop stress, nutrient deficiency, early signs of Ganoderma
  • Fertiliser & pesticide recommendations — A.I.-driven prescriptions that cut wastage
  • Automated reporting — plantation reports, yield forecasts, actionable insights
  • A.I. consultation chatbox — on-demand guidance for smallholders
  • Scalable & cloud-based — accessible anywhere, data processed securely

PDAS empowers plantation owners and smallholders to make data-driven decisions, reduce crop losses, and increase operational efficiency.

02 — Aerial Intelligence

Drone & Satellite Image Analysis

High-resolution drone imagery combined with multispectral and hyperspectral satellite data for comprehensive crop monitoring across smallholder farms and large operations.

  • High-resolution mapping — detailed crop and field maps
  • Early stress & disease detection — before visible symptoms appear
  • Analytics integration — imagery feeds directly into A.I.-powered reporting
  • Scalable monitoring — from small plots to large agricultural estates

Combining drone flexibility, satellite coverage, and A.I. analytics to enable timely, data-driven decisions.

03 — Field Operations

Drone Mapping Services

High-resolution aerial surveys using drones equipped with advanced sensors, capturing imagery that lets farmers, agribusinesses, and cooperatives map fields and monitor crop health directly.

  • Orthomosaic maps & 3D models — for farm planning and monitoring
  • Crop health & stress monitoring — nutrient deficiency, water stress, disease
  • Scalable service — small farms to large estates
  • Time & cost efficient — reduces manual scouting and labour

A scalable, cost-effective way to monitor crops, optimise inputs, and improve yields across modern agriculture.

04 — Agro-Inputs

Fertiliser, Pesticide & Herbicide

Authorised reseller and distributor of high-quality fertilisers, pesticides, and herbicides — carefully selected to support healthy crop growth and protect against pests and disease.

  • Wide range of agro-inputs — for diverse crop needs
  • Authorised, trusted brands — sourced from certified manufacturers
  • Data-driven recommendations — guided by PDAS and aerial analysis
  • Efficient distribution — smallholder farms to large operations

Trusted agro-inputs paired with precision data to maximise productivity while reducing cost and environmental impact.

Track Record

Our experience, on the ground and in orbit

Before precision farming, our team built the geospatial and satellite infrastructure Malaysia's agriculture sector now runs on.

National Programs

Malaysia Satellite Development — RazakSAT, CubeSAT & InnoSAT

Core team members contributed directly to Malaysia's national satellite programs, building the deep satellite systems and Earth observation expertise the company draws on today.

2014

Cross-calibration between satellite, airborne, UAV & goniometer

Field campaigns at Seberang Perak and Carey Island, plus airborne hyperspectral cross-calibration flights, validating sensor accuracy across platforms.

2016

Land use mapping for MADA, via Khazanah Research Institute

SAR-based land use mapping of the Muda Agricultural Development Authority (MADA) region, distinguishing rice from non-rice areas over multi-kilometre scales.

2016

Land use mapping for Lembaga Getah Malaysia (LGM)

Rubber-planted area and rubber phenology mapping across Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Selangor, Kelantan & Terengganu.

2021

Paddy precision farming — Parit 11 Timur, Sungai Panjang, Selangor

Farm-plot mapping, pest & disease classification, and fertiliser recommendation, delivered through drone survey and field verification.

Ongoing

Drone mapping for paddy, oil palm & rubber projects

Continued drone survey work across Malaysia's three major smallholder crop sectors, feeding directly into the PDAS platform.

Regional Expansion Potential

The same model applies across Indonesia and Thailand — bringing the same precision-agriculture ecosystem to smallholders across Southeast Asia's largest oil palm and rubber growing regions.
